Waking up warm, stuffy or sneezing?

Your duvet may be the reason.

Traditional fillings trap body heat and moisture, exactly the conditions dust mites love, so you spend the night restless and wake up itchy and unrested. Our bamboo anti-allergy duvet is filled with pure organic bamboo fibre and wrapped in a silky bamboo shell, for cooler, calmer sleep in every season.

  • 🌡️ Stays in Your Sleep ZoneFalling asleep depends on your core body temperature drifting down, and sleep studies show warm, humid conditions increase wakefulness and cut deep sleep. Bamboo is a hydrophilic cellulose fibre: it absorbs moisture vapour from your body and releases it into the room, so the air beneath the duvet stays drier and cooler than under a fill that holds moisture.
  • 🍂 All-Season 300gsm Fillgsm is the weight of fill per square metre, and 300gsm is a mid-weight duvet that suits cooler nights without overwhelming warm ones. The sewn-through construction keeps the fill evenly spread and lets air move through the stitched channels, which makes it more breathable than box-baffle designs.
  • 🌿 Plant-Based, Feather-FreeMany allergy sufferers react to dust mites and to animal-derived fills like feathers and down. A plant-cellulose fill removes animal proteins, and because it releases moisture rather than holding it, it's a less hospitable place for dust mites, which need warmth and humidity to thrive. No duvet eliminates mites, so airing it regularly still helps.
  • ✨ Fresher for LongerOdour in bedding comes from bacteria feeding on moisture and body oils. A fill that releases moisture instead of trapping it gives them less time and less to work with, so the duvet stays fresher between professional cleans.
  • 📐 Secure FitCorner loops tie to the ties inside your duvet cover. A duvet that stays in place keeps insulation even, instead of leaving one side thin and cold and the other bunched and hot.

💌 A note from our founder:

I wasn’t allowed a single stuffed toy growing up. I’m allergic to dust mites, so my mum wouldn’t let anything soft and huggable into my room.

Years later, Hong Kong’s humidity brought the same problem back in a different form. Warm, damp conditions inside a duvet are exactly what dust mites need to thrive. So when we made our own duvet, I wanted to make sure it would be a less welcoming environment for dust mites from the very beginning. We filled it with plant-based, breathable bamboo fibre, in an all-season weight made for the way we sleep here.

Funny how that worked out- I finally get my soft thing after all.

I hope it gives you and your family that same peace of mind.

Love, Joyce

Care guide

NakedLab's bambooSilk duvet features ultra-fine bamboo fibers that maintain their cloud-like softness naturally. To preserve its quality, we recommend professional dry cleaning only.

  • All bamboo duvets should be professionally dry-cleaned to maintain their quality. Washing at home can damage the bamboo filling and cause uneven clumping

FAQ

What makes NakedLab's Bamboo Duvet different from other duvets?

Our 100% Bamboo Duvet stands out as a completely natural, vegan alternative that outperforms both down and synthetic duvets. Unlike down duvets that raise animal welfare concerns, or cotton/polyester blends that lack breathability, our bamboo duvet offers superior breathability (5/5 stars), excellent moisture wicking (5/5 stars), and is completely hypoallergenic (5/5 stars). It's filled entirely with organic bamboo fiber and wrapped in silky-smooth Bamboo, providing natural temperature regulation without any synthetic materials or animal products.

What is the 100% Bamboo Duvet and what are its key features?

Our Anti Allergy Bamboo Duvet is a four-season, organic vegan duvet designed for comfort-seekers and sensitive sleepers. Key features include:

  • 300gsm fill suitable for year-round use
  • 100% organic bamboo fiber filling
  • Bamboo outer cover for silky-smooth feel
  • Elegant piped edging for premium finish
  • Internal anchor loops to secure to duvet covers
  • OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified
  • Completely vegan and chemical-free

Is bamboo bedding safe for babies and children? Does it help prevent SIDS?

Yes! Our bamboo bedding is exceptionally safe for babies and children due to its superior breathability. The natural bamboo fiber is so breathable that you can breathe perfectly fine even UNDER the bedding. This exceptional breathability helps reduce the risk of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) by ensuring proper airflow and preventing overheating - two critical factors in infant safety.Unlike traditional bedding materials that can restrict airflow, bamboo's natural structure allows air to circulate freely, creating a safer sleep environment for babies and peace of mind for parents. The hypoallergenic and temperature-regulating properties also ensure your little ones stay comfortable and safe throughout the night. This makes our bamboo bedding an ideal choice for:

  • Baby bedding and nurseries
  • Children's bedrooms
  • Family bedding where safety is a priority
  • Anyone who values breathable, safe sleep

Do bamboo duvets have the musty smell that down duvets often develop?

No! Unlike down duvets that can develop unpleasant odors over time, our bamboo duvet stays fresh naturally. Down duvets often smell musty due to moisture retention, bacteria growth, and natural oils from feathers. Our bamboo fiber has natural anti-bacterial properties and superior moisture wicking abilities that prevent odor-causing bacteria from developing. The bamboo stays fresh and odor-free, giving you a cleaner, more hygienic sleep experience.

What are the main benefits of bamboo fiber?

  • Guaranteed the Softest: NakedLab bamboo fabric is twice as soft as cotton, equivalent to 1300 thread count
  • Always the Right Temperature: Natural temperature regulation prevents overheating and promotes sleep hormone production
  • Hypoallergenic & Anti-Mould: Gentle on skin, kind to hair, and safe for babies
  • 100% Plant Based & Organic: Ethical, vegan, and eco-friendly
  • Certified Chemical Free: Grown without pesticides and OEKO-TEX certified
  • Natural Freshness: Stays odor-free without chemical treatments

How do I care for the bamboo duvet? Is it machine washable?

No, the bamboo duvet is NOT machine washable. Bamboo fiber absorbs a lot of water, which requires special care at dry cleaning.

For Regular Maintenance:

  • Use the sun as natural disinfection - simply air your duvet in sunlight regularly
  • This is the recommended method for keeping your duvet fresh and hygienic

For Stains: Refer to our laundry guide for specific stain removal methods, but we recommend using sun disinfection as the primary maintenance method.

Is this duvet suitable for people with allergies?

Absolutely! The duvet is specifically designed as an "Anti Allergy" product. Bamboo fiber is naturally hypoallergenic, anti-bacterial, and anti-mould. It's gentle on even the most delicate skin and ideal for those prone to allergies or night sweats. It's also safe for babies.

Is this duvet really vegan and eco-friendly?

Yes! The duvet is completely vegan with no animal products whatsoever. It's made from 100% organic bamboo that grows without pesticides, making it eco-friendly. Unlike down duvets that raise animal welfare concerns, our bamboo duvet provides ethical comfort you can feel good about.

How does it compare to down or synthetic duvets?

Based on our comparison:

  • vs Down Duvets: Better breathability and moisture wicking, more hypoallergenic, eco-friendly, no animal welfare concerns, and no musty odors
  • vs Cotton/Polyester Duvets: Superior breathability, moisture wicking, and hypoallergenic properties, though at a higher price point for premium quality

Does it come with anchor loops for duvet covers?

Yes! The duvet features subtle internal anchor loops that secure seamlessly to your NakedLab duvet cover, preventing shifting and ensuring no fuss during sleep.
