Our Modal pillowcases are woven from 100% Lenzing™ Modal, a soft cellulose fibre made from beechwood, at 300 thread count, with a smooth surface, a soft natural sheen and a subtle dobby pattern, so your hair and skin glide instead of drag.   • 🎀 Kind to Hair Each hair is covered in overlapping cuticle scales. Rough, high-friction fabric catches and lifts them, which leads to frizz, tangles and, over time, breakage. Smooth, uniform Modal fibre lets hair glide with less friction.
  • 🤍 Gentle on Skin Facial skin is thin, and you shift position many times a night. A smooth, soft surface lets skin slide instead of drag, which helps reduce the pressure and friction behind sleep creases and suits sensitive skin.
  • ❄️ Cool Where It Counts Your head rests on this surface for hours. Modal absorbs and releases moisture vapour, letting heat and sweat escape instead of pooling under your head.
  • 🧶 A Subtle Dobby Pattern Fine, short lines are woven into the cloth, so the pattern is part of the fabric, not printed on it. Tone on tone and understated, it adds a quiet detail, while the fine, smooth Modal fibres keep the surface gentle on hair and skin.
  • 🧵 300 Thread Count, Silky and Structured Thread count measures threads per square inch, and it was designed for cotton. Modal's fibres are finer and smoother, so 300 thread count already gives a dense, silky cloth, without relying on the heavy multi-ply yarns often used to reach very high cotton counts.
  • 🌿 Hypoallergenic & Anti-Dust Mite Gentle on sensitive skin. Pillows collect sweat, oils and shed skin flakes, which is what mites feed on, and a fabric that moves moisture away helps keep the surface drier. No bedding eliminates mites, so regular washing still matters.

Care guide

NakedLab's fabric is a naturally durable material that becomes softer and more luxurious with every wash.

To preserve its exceptional quality and comfort, simply follow these care instructions.

  • Wash before first use. Wash alone or avoid washing with rough materials.

  • Machine wash at or below 30ºC, on a gentle low spin cycle. Continuous hot water washing has the potential to shrink bamboo fibres.

  • Do not use bleach, harsh detergents or fabric softeners, as they can damage the natural bamboo fibre and can discolour or mark bamboo products.

  • Take out immediately at the end of machine wash cycle.

  • Line-dry your bamboo products, or tumble dry on delicate settings.

  • If you choose to iron, use a low heat (max 110ºC) setting.

Returns

We accept returns of products that have not been opened, washed or used within 7 days of ship date. These items must be in their original packaging with tags still attached and in a resaleable condition. All returns must be processed through our Returns Portal.

Can you tell me more about Modal?

Modal is a luxuriously soft, plant-based fabric made from renewable wood fibres. Naturally breathable and smooth with a subtle woven texture, it feels cool, light, and gentle against your skin. Designed for year-round comfort, Modal helps regulate temperature and wick away moisture, keeping you comfortably balanced through every season. It’s also sustainably produced, offering an eco-conscious way to enjoy the silky softness NakedLab is known for.

Does the Modal fabric pill?

Slight pilling may occur initially as Modal is made from natural plant-based fibres and is not treated with harsh chemicals. This is completely normal and will reduce over time with gentle washing. Pilling is not a defect - it’s simply part of the natural settling process of the fabric. To minimise pilling, wash your bedding inside out on a gentle cycle, avoid high heat, and line dry where possible.

Is your Modal organic?

Our Modal is made from sustainably sourced, plant-based fibres and certified by OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. This independent certification tests every stage of production to ensure our bedding is completely free from harmful substances, safe for you, your home, and the planet.
