Care guide

NakedLab's bambooSilk is a naturally durable material that becomes softer and more luxurious with every wash. To preserve its exceptional quality and comfort, simply follow these care instructions.

  • Wash before first use. Wash alone or avoid washing with rough materials.

  • Machine wash at or below 30ºC, on a gentle low spin cycle. Continuous hot water washing has the potential to shrink bamboo fibres.

  • Do not use bleach, harsh detergents or fabric softeners, as they can damage the natural bamboo fibre and can discolour or mark bamboo products.

  • Take out immediately at the end of machine wash cycle.

  • Line-dry your bamboo products, or tumble dry on delicate settings.

  • If you choose to iron, use a low heat (max 110ºC) setting.

Modal is a luxuriously soft, plant-based fabric made from renewable wood fibres. Naturally breathable and smooth with a subtle woven texture, it feels cool, light, and gentle against your skin. Designed for year-round comfort, Modal helps regulate temperature and wick away moisture, keeping you comfortably balanced through every season. It’s also sustainably produced, offering an eco-conscious way to enjoy the silky softness NakedLab is known for.

Does the Modal fabric pill?

Slight pilling may occur initially as Modal is made from natural plant-based fibres and is not treated with harsh chemicals. This is completely normal and will reduce over time with gentle washing. Pilling is not a defect - it’s simply part of the natural settling process of the fabric. To minimise pilling, wash your bedding inside out on a gentle cycle, avoid high heat, and line dry where possible.

Is your Modal organic?

Our Modal is made from sustainably sourced, plant-based fibres and certified by OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.
