Nakedlab began with this very cot sheet.

As a new mother, my search for the perfect bedding was personal. My baby had incredibly sensitive skin, and I discovered he was reacting to the harsh chemicals—like formaldehyde and pesticide residues—often used in conventional cotton production. I needed something not just soft, but truly gentle and safe for his skin.

My search led me to bamboo. It was a game-changer. I made it my mission to create a fabric that was as pure as possible for the end-user—our children. This cot sheet became our very first product. It’s OEKO-TEX® certified, which is our guarantee to you that it's free from the very irritants that started this journey.

This sheet isn't just a product to us; it's our origin story and our promise of safety and comfort.

Care guide

NakedLab's bambooSilk is a naturally durable material that becomes softer and more luxurious with every wash. To preserve its exceptional quality and comfort, simply follow these care instructions.

  • Wash before first use. Wash alone or avoid washing with rough materials.

  • Machine wash at or below 30ºC, on a gentle cycle. Continuous hot water washing has the potential to shrink bamboo fibres.

  • Do not use bleach, harsh detergents or fabric softeners, as they can damage the natural bamboo fibre and can discolour or mark bamboo products.

  • Take out immediately at the end of machine wash cycle.

  • Line-dry your bamboo products, or tumble dry on delicate settings.

  • If you choose to iron, use a low heat (max 110ºC) setting.

What is a closed-loop process?

This means we design and manufacture products with minimal waste and environmental impact, using resources efficiently. Our fabric is biodegradable, we maintain OEKO-TEX certification, and our packaging is made from leftover fabric and is reusable, with compostable plant-based mailers.

Does the fabric pill?

Slight pilling may occur initially since bamboo is a natural fibre untreated by harsh chemicals. This is normal and can be reduced or removed by following our care instructions. Pilling is not a defect.

What does "All deliveries are carbon neutral" mean?
